Wooden sculptures are created by painting with diluted acrylic paints on selected pieces of firewood from the North Shore of Chicago. All pieces are one of a kind.

During my recovery period after knee surgery, I had the opportunity to work with the firewood that I felt had some interesting characteristics that when painted, took on their own personality.
